 Researchers
have come across a major link
connecting autism and Alzheimer's:
mitochondria, better known as the
powerhouse of the cell. Researchers
are discovering that epigenetic
expression and/or lifestyle choices at
a young age greatly impact how our
mitochondria function.
When mitochondria are not producing
energy at optimum output, the two most
affected organs are the heart and
brain. Numerous preventive steps need
to be taken beginning at the prenatal
stage to modify this trend. In the
interim, there is a nutrient that has
been extensively studied for its
ability to help energize mitochondria
and make it less dysfunctional (see
