National Infertility Awareness Week is a movement to raise awareness about infertility, which affects 7.3 million Americans.

If you, a family member, friend, or coworker have fertility issues, you have options. We want you to be aware that diet, nutrients, and lifestyle play a very important role in fertility for men and women. Bonnie has worked successfully with infertile clients by optimizing all three aspects.

One particular finding that has surfaced recently is the correlation between infertility and vitamin D deficiency. For couples who have had trouble getting pregnant, we recommend testing for 25 hydroxy vitamin D if you have not done so already.

Vitamin D deficiency usually comes from lack of sun exposure and not enough in food. We have also discovered that a gluten intolerance can block the absorption of vitamin D. Undiagnosed gluten intolerance is indicated in fertility problems so for couples, it should be ruled out.
