The Folic Acid/Cancer Link.
--------------------
Recently, we have received several inquiries from concerned clients
because their doctors told them to stop taking the B-vitamin, folic
acid, due to a suggested link to cancer. We think this is misinformed
and potentially damaging advice. Last summer, we commented on this same
issue. However, the misinformation is still circulating, so we are
bringing you up to date on the latest research.

A Happy Colon, A Happy Life.
--------------------
We thought this was an excellent piece written by Dr. Cary Presant,
MD. The only thing we did not care for was his list of substances for
constipation and bowel regularity. So we are listing our Top 10
(number one being our favorite and ten being our least favorite
choice):
In addition, you can always try our Smart Detox 2-Week Action Plan or Smart Cleanse 2-Week (vegan) |

Remedies for Cracked/Peeling Fingernails.
--------------------
Clients will often come to us with complaints about weak, cracked,
split, or peeling fingernails. It is not "one-size-fits all"
to fix the situation. Here are several suggestions you can try.

Back to School.
--------------------
While moms and dads are lamenting the fact that kids will be back in
school soon (hah! hah!), and with Fall right around the corner, it is
a good time to get their diets and lifestyles in order, as well as
your own. These wonderful resources can help you accomplish this: 1) Nutritional Concepts' School-Age Child Action Plan. 2) The Healthy Schools Campaign, a local nonprofit organization, puts out an incredible Wellness Guide. These resources should be required reading for any parent. A recent study has shown that nutrition education programs in schools have been making progress, but slowly. You must take it upon yourselves to make a difference in your child's school district. And for those who have sons and daughters going to college, click here for some College Survival Tips. |
