M.A., M.P.H, L.D.N., C.N.S.

Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist, Certified Nutrition Specialist,
Certified Teacher, Certified Menopause Educator,
Certified Guidance Counselor, Grandmother

After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Education
at The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Bonnie Minsky
taught for several years in Chicago’s inner-city schools. Soon
thereafter, she raised her two sons and daughter while completing
her Master of Arts Degree in Counseling. This is when she
discovered the importance of nutrition.

Frustrated by the inability of conventional medicine to treat
her children’s allergies and severe learning and behavior
problems with the teenagers she counseled, Bonnie postulated
that many of the problems could stem from diet. When her children
and students showed miraculous improvements from a slight
change in diet, Bonnie saw her future.

In 1985, she founded Nutritional Concepts, Inc. Continuing to
bolster her knowledge in all fields of health, Bonnie received a
Master of Public Health degree from the prestigious
School of Public Health at the University of Illinois-Chicago in 1989.
Her next achievement would receive national attention.

Bonnie co-authored the bill that would license Nutritionists in Illinois,
the second of its kind proposed in the United States. In 1990,
fighting tremendous odds, the bill was passed and Bonnie was
honored as the first Licensed Nutrition Counselor in the State of Illinois.
Similar bills have now been passed in most states.

Bonnie is heavily involved with state and national health organizations.
She is a Certified Nutrition Specialist with the esteemed
American College of Nutrition. She was appointed to The Dietetic and
Nutrition Services Board for the State of Illinois. She is a member of
both the Illinois and American Public Health Associations. She was a
Board Member of Citizens for Health, served as President of the
International and American Association of Clinical Nutritionists,
Secretary of the National Association for Public Health Food Policy Council
in Washington D.C., and served as Vice President of
Nutrition for Optimal Health Association.

Bonnie has also appeared on numerous radio and television programs
and given hundreds of lectures discussing natural menopause,
anti-aging, weight loss, and all other aspects of nutrition.

What part of your career are you most proud of?
(2:10 minutes; You Tube)

"I had a number of minor health issues. Traditional doctors could not find anything wrong with me
and worse were treating me like a hypochondriac. Then I went to see Bonnie. She identified the
source of my problems as food allergies. She educated me on what to eat, how to read labels
when grocery shopping and what supplements to take. Almost immediately I felt better than
I had in my adult life. Thanks to Bonnie's ongoing counsel and support, years later I continue
to feel great. Thanks, Bonnie. Susan" More Client Testimonials
