Question #1:

I found some articles on your site that referred to pesticides causing male infertility.  Do you have any information about how diet and supplements may reverse this situation or has it been your finding that once the pesticides have caused infertility, it remains that way?

Answer #1:

Chlorella may be able to help detoxify pesticides (we like the Nature's Way brand capsule; although, you must take approximately nine daily). Also, Ultra Clear by Metagenics is a nutritional detox. Taking this daily for one month with Epsom Salt Baths, saunas, or both and a clean diet could help. We have an Action Plan called Smart Detox 3-Day on our website that would be very helpful. Also, adding 35-50 mg. of zinc can help male infertility, if not due to low progesterone.

Question #2:

I was told by my physician that, if I do not have many oils, in general, in my diet, that I should take Ultra Oils (omega 3, 6, & 9) instead of Omega 3 oil.  what do you think?

Answer #2:

This is absolutely untrue. Very few people get enough omega 3 oil and it is the "super oil." Most people get enough omega 6 & 9 from prepared foods and added olive oil, nuts & seeds, etc. Too much of the omega 6's & 9's throws off the body's essential balance and contributes to inflammation. Having them balanced oils in supplement form is not a good idea.

Have a happy, healthy day.
