Question #1:

I have a niece who is 9 years old and has been told by doctors that she has Molluscum Contagiosum, which we were told is a virus.   Now it is very contagious and so itchy and sore and frustrating for the child who has it and for the parents too.   My sister-in-law has asked the doctor a few times if there is anything that can help it or heal it and they have told her there is nothing--she is very frustrated and it has been spreading, oh and they also said that it can last up to 18 months.

I told her that I would ask you if you knew anything about this virus and if there is possibly something she can use on her daughter to help.   Thank you for listening.

Answer #1:

My grandson had this. It can last up to 18 months to two years and there is nothing can completely knock it out. However, it does not have to be as itchy and debilitating as it seems to be for her right now. Here is the protocol I used for my grandson:

Internally -
Ecological Formulas Monolaurin 300 mg: this is a natural antiviral made from ester of coconut; the lauric acid in the Monloaurin seemed to really keep it in check. I would suggest giving her 600 mg. for the first week (two capsules daily) as a loading dose to reduce the activity. Then, she should take one capsule daily for the duration of the virus. When it acts up, increase again to two capsules.

Topically -
Milk of Magnesia (Unflavored) dabbed onto the affected areas seemed to really reduce the inflammation/itchiness. Apply several times daily if needed. Apply and let it sit for a few minutes until dry. Then, just wash off with water.

Hope  this helps.

Have a happy, healthy day.
