Answer:
Your spring/summer allergy may not just be in the air beware of cross-reactive foods.
If you suffer from tree pollen allergies, avoid these foods during the height of the season (usually 4/15-6/15): almonds, apples, carrots, hazelnuts, peaches, white potatoes, apricots, avocados, cherries, coconuts, fennel, kiwi, peanuts, pears, plums, and tomatoes.
If you suffer from grass pollen allergies, avoid these foods also during the height of allergy season: oranges, peanuts, and tomatoes.
If you suffer from mold allergies, avoid these too during the allergy season: peanuts, mushrooms, oranges, cantaloupe, and white potato.
If you are still suffering or having heightened digestive symptoms even after taking these precautions, I recommend you consulting an allergist or take the ELISA blood test from Great Smokies Labs (www.greatsmokies.com, which tests almost 100 commonly allergic foods).
Also, you may want to add a good allergy fighting supplement, preferably with Quercetin, a flavanoid from algae. Its an antioxidant that supports immune function as well as fights cancer-causing agents. A good allergy complex that Bonnie recommends is Allergy Fighters by Twinlab.
Have a happy, healthy day - Bonnie
