DID YOU KNOW that a new study in Neurology found that subjects with higher levels of antioxidants in their blood were less likely to develop dementia? While this certainly does not come as a surprise to you and me, it is certainly a wonderful thing to see in a prestigious medical journal such as Neurology. Researchers found the most prominent antioxidants linked to lower dementia risk was our favorite phytonutrients for eye health: lutein and zeaxanthin. What we love about this study is that it involved 7,283 people who were at least 45 years old at the beginning of the study and were followed for an average of 16 years to see who developed dementia.

Our COVID-19 Vaccine Opinion The document can be found at this link.

Virus Prevention And Treatment Vaccines minimize COVID-19 related mortality and hospitalizations, but SARS-CoV-2 is here to stay. Moreover, it is not the only virus we fight. There are influenza (flu), norovirus (stomach flu), adenovirus (common cold), and four other coronaviruses (common cold), among others. Continue your immune support year-round. For more information, refer to our Prevent and Fight Viruses 2.0 Protocol.

Post-COVID Syndrome 2.0 The official diagnosis for post-COVID syndrome (PCS) are symptoms that last for 12 weeks or more. If you, a family member, friend, coworker, or neighbor is suffering from PCS, diligently following our Post-COVID Syndrome 2.0 Action Plan for purchase, or free to paid members here (must use the password), can bring measurable improvement.

Have a happy, healthy day! Steve and Bonnie Minsky

Infection Fighting Star

Steve: Since the start of the pandemic, our "go to" for supplemental support when you are infected with COVID-19 is Andrographis. Our stance has only been emboldened. Called the “king of bitters” in Asia, andrographis contains a number of bitter constituents which appear to have both immune-modulating and anti-inflammatory activity. In short, the effect of Andrographis for immune support is impressive, and its effects on reducing joint inflammation and joint tenderness in arthritis sufferers is even more impressive. In Scandinavia, Andrographis has been extensively used for treating upper respiratory tract infections and common colds. Further studies indicate that Andrographis is indicated for different diseases ranging from bacterial dysentery, stomach and intestine disorders, tonsilitis, and pneumonia. Andrographis has potent anti-viral activity against diverse group of viruses belonging to different families, including influenza A virus (H1N1), Hepatitis B virus (HBV), Hepatitis C virus (HCV), Herpes simplex virus 1 (HSV1), Chikungunaya virus (CHV), Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), Human papillomavirus (HPV) and Epstein-Barr virus (EBV). The research on the use of Andrographis in the treatment of the common cold virus is robust. In turn, because SARS-CoV-2, the coronavirus that causes COVID-19, is a close cousin of coronaviruses that cause the common cold, it would make sense to use andrographis. Chinese herbal medicine used in clinics to treat COVID-19 infection and prevent pneumonia is primarily composed of Andrographis. Administration of the Chinese herbal medicine during the pandemic significantly reduced the time to cough relief, fever resolution and virus clearance. We have seen similar results in our clients taking andrographis during the pandemic. The number of days with symptoms and severity of COVID-19 infection were greatly reduced in many of our clients taking it. Whether for COVID-19 or any other bacterial/viral infection, andrographis is well tolerated, so can be a wonderful option to turn to when infection starts.
