DID YOU KNOW that just a single exercise workout has positive effects on learning and memory in young adults?
According to a study in Translational Sports Medicine, the types of exercise that were studied involved walking, running, and bicycling in individuals between 18 to 35 years of age. Aerobic exercise for as little as 2 minutes to 1 hour at moderate to high intensity improved attention, concentration, and learning and memory functions for up to 2 hours.
COVID-19 Condition Monograph Update
For those interested in getting into the "nitty gritty" of COVID-19, Steve has updated his COVID-19 Condition Monograph. Updates include research on risk for pregnant and nursing women, new inflammatory hypotheses, whey protein, and myriad new references (197 and counting) for the nutrients you know and love! COVID-19 Prevention and Treatment Continue with extra immune support until summer of 2021. SARS-CoV-2 is not going away anytime soon. Moreover, SARS-CoV-2 is not the only virus we fight. There are influenza (flu), norovirus (stomach flu), adenovirus (common cold), and four other coronaviruses (common cold), among others. Prevent and Fight Coronavirus 2.0 is our must-read protocol. For detailed advice about conventional, as well as integrative treatments, read Steve Minsky's COVID-19 Condition Monograph.
GOOD ENOUGH FOR TRUMP, BUT NOT US?
Steve and Bonnie: President Trump's physician, Dr. Sean Conley, revealed the President had been taking vitamin D, zinc, and melatonin for coronavirus prevention.
We don't know how long he was taking this regimen, but it certainly was the first the American public had heard about it. We would like to know how long and, if since the start of the pandemic, why was the public not briefed?
Those who read this newsletter know how important vitamin D3, zinc, and melatonin can be for COVID-19 prevention, but much of the nation does not. We may never know the exact timeline, but if these nutrients were good enough for the President, why weren't they good enough for us? Just like if vitamin D and zinc were good enough for Dr. Fauci, why weren't they good enough for us? As an aside, the President, like so many, falls into multiple high-risk COVID-19 categories: male, obese, and high stress. Given the President's elevated risk and countless opportunities he could have been exposed to coronavirus over the last 10 months, it is a miracle he had not gotten COVID-19 sooner. Do we attribute this to the preventive regimen he was on? Once the President tested positive for COVID-19 and exhibited symptoms requiring hospitalization, his medical team introduced a regime that we are pleased to say was listed in the conventional treatment section of our COVID-19 Condition Monograph. The plasma antibody cocktail developed by Regeneron helps fight viral load. The steroid dexamethasone reduces lung inflammation. Remdesivir is an antiviral. It's nice to know we're on point!
