DID YOU KNOW that a first-of-its-kind study in Nutrients examined the association between vitamin C intake and various types of sleep disorders, including sleep apnea and insomnia in an 85,000+ subject group?
The results indicated that those with the highest vitamin C intake was associated with a significantly reduced risk of sleep disorders and sleep apnea. The protective effect persisted significantly, especially in men and both sexes 60 years and younger.
The authors suggest that sufficient vitamin C intake should be emphasized to prevent sleep disorders.
