DID YOU KNOW that among the many reasons to augment your diet and lifestyle with dietary supplements, research presented at the Society for Experimental Biology's Annual Conference says that our crops are yielding less nutrients?

A combination of higher atmospheric CO2 and hotter temperatures contribute to a reduction in nutritional quality in food crops. While crops grow faster and bigger, they showed a reduction in key minerals like calcium and certain antioxidant compounds. In a cruel twist of fate, the concentration of sugars in crops went up, thus diluting essential proteins, minerals and antioxidants.

DID YOU KNOW that microminerals copper, manganese, selenium, and zinc regulate neuronal signaling and brain function? Deficiencies of these minerals are common in adolescents due to unhealthy eating habits.

A study from Frontiers in Nutrition found that academic performance in adolescents with the lowest micromineral levels was lower by an average of seven-percentage points compared to those with the highest, based upon the Raven’s Standard Progressive Matrices test. There was a positive association with both cognitive function and academic performance.
