DID YOU KNOW that forming new diet and lifestyle habits takes between 59-66 days on average, with some needing anywhere from 4 to 335 days for behaviors to become automatic?


As reported in Healthcare, those who performed new habits in consistent settings, like drinking water right after waking up, developed stronger automatic behaviors. Simple actions with immediate rewards generally became habits more quickly than complex behaviors with delayed benefits.


This is around the time that many well-intentioned New Year's resolutions go by the wayside. Let this be a reminder that if you are struggling with newly formed, beneficial diet and lifestyle habits..."Rome wasn't built in a day." Adhering to these daily habits will reward you handsomely, even if it takes a year.

DID YOU KNOW that school-aged children who eat organic can lower their environmental allergy risk?


According to a study from Allergy, eight year-old children who ate the highest amount of organic food had the lowest likelihood of having environmental allergies compared to children who ate the least amount of organic foods. Wow!

DID YOU KNOW that why it is so important to make sure you have enough B-vitamins?


As reported in Frontiers in Nutrition, higher intake of vitamin B1 (thiamine) was associated with a 22% lower sarcopenia risk, and higher intake of vitamin B2 (riboflavin) with a 16% lower risk in both men and women. Sarcopenia is the loss of muscle mass due to the aging process.


A study from NPJ Parkinson Disease identified gut microbes likely to be involved in the development of Parkinson's disease and linked them with decreased vitamin B2 and vitamin B7 (biotin), pointing the way to an unexpectedly simple treatment that may help in those with gut dysbiosis: B-vitamin supplementation.
