DID YOU KNOW that new results from a study in The BMJ found that consuming five or more servings per week of dark chocolate is associated with a lower risk for type 2 diabetes compared with infrequent or no consumption?


Conversely, higher consumption of milk chocolate had no beneficial effect and contributed to greater weight gain.


We consider dark chocolate 60% or higher cocoa content, although 70% or higher is ideal. A serving would be considered one to two small squares.
