DID YOU KNOW that two new studies point to inflammatory mediators called leukotrienes as key steps in anaphylactic food allergen reactions and asthma onset, making the molecules worth more scrutiny?
While researchers will focus on blocking leukotrienes response, here are leukotrine mediators, which reduce the reactions without blocking them:
Boswellia serrata
Quercetin
Luteolin
Omega-3 fatty acids (EPA/DHA)
N-acetylcysteine (NAC)
Vitamin E (mixed tocopherols)
Magnesium
On another note, if you suspect you have IgE food allergies (different from IgG food intolerances) and want to test for them, it's always better to test when allergy season is not virulent. Spring pollen season has already started in some parts of the country and will locally at the end of March.
