Infection Protocols A to Z

From eNewsletter 9/25/2023

DID YOU KNOW that a recent study in Nutrition Reviews found consistent effects of yerba maté intake on metabolism improvement and antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities?

The authors also found benefits for body weight and composition, exercise performance, mood, and appetite, in addition cardio- and neuroprotective effects.

According to the authors, the available literature indicates that yerba maté can be used within a balanced and healthy diet for prevention and adjuvant treatment of chronic diseases.

Yerba maté is a tea made from plants that grow in South America. One serving contains less than half the caffeine in a cup of coffee.

Infection Protocols A to Z

Steve: As public discussion about how best to prevent infection this season hits a fever pitch, I wanted to remind you that any medical treatment you utilize for infection should always be augmented with diet and lifestyle therapies.

Adhering to your pristine diet and lifestyle habits accelerates recovery. Moreover, there are many infections that can be prevented, stopped quickly, or severity lessened with diet and lifestyle only.

We have established protocols you can follow for the following infections:

Viral

COVID, Influenza, Common Cold, Stomach Flu, Shingles, Mononucleosis, Sinus, Upper Respiratory

Bacterial

Strep Throat, Food Poisoning, Traveler's Diarrhea, Sinus, Upper Respiratory

Parasite

Traveler's Diarrhea

Fungal

Sinus, Yeast/UTI

NOTE: These protocols still need to be individualized to take into account allergy, intolerance, and medications, so you can always email me when the need arises.

A gentle reminder that before you consider taking an antibiotic, insist that your physician confirm the infection is of bacterial origin. Antibiotics are ineffective for viral or fungal infection.
