More Mag (nificent) Benefits | Vit D3 & T Cells

From eNewsletter 12/1/2021

DID YOU KNOW that two new studies laud the amazing effects of magnesium? A study from Nutrients states that magnesium supplements improve serum glucose levels and increases insulin sensitivity in all persons, especially in those at risk for blood sugar disorders. Moreover, a study from British Journal of Nutrition found that higher flavonoid intake, such as quercetin, is associated with a lower risk of the metabolic syndrome and central obesity, especially when combined with magnesium supplements!

COVID-19 UPDATE

Steve: I wanted to keep this update brief because it is critical that you review these two studies and share them with everyone you know, because of course, they won't hear about it anywhere else. Vitamin D Shuts Down T Cell-Mediated Inflammation Let that sink in for a bit. You've become familiar with T cells during the pandemic. And you know that COVID-19 creates T cell dysfunction, leading to unstoppable inflammation, such that severe illness and death may occur. A new study in Nature concludes that "vitamin D shuts down T cell-mediated inflammation." Thus, screening for vitamin D deficiency and utilizing vitamin D supplementation are essential for COVID-19 prevention and treatment. Zinc A new study from Critical Care found that the use of zinc sulfate as an additional treatment in critically ill COVID-19 patients improves survival. Furthermore, zinc supplementation may have a protective effect on the kidneys. It sounds like a broken record, but we have to keeping hitting home the fact that vitamin D and zinc are not part of governmental COVID-19 prevention and treatment protocols and it is unconscionable.
