In fact, researchers found that Yerba mate promotes an immunosuppressive environment by enhancing anti-inflammatory M2 macrophage differentiation, reducing colitis symptoms, and suggest that Yerba mate consumption may be a cost-effective, supportive treatment for ulcerative colitis.
