DID YOU KNOW that the herb andrographis, which you should be very familiar with because it is our "go-to" antiviral support at first hint of COVID infection, also contains a phytochemical that is being investigated as a lead compound in cancer drug development, according to two studies from Drug Discovery Today and Current Drug Delivery?

According to the authors of the Current Drug Delivery study: "Andrographolide, a diterpene lactone separated from Andrographis paniculata, has also been shown to have important critical essential biological protective properties. DID YOU KNOW that collagen protein supplementation may be beneficial for reasons you may not have even considered?

In a recent study from Frontiers in Nutrition, 12 weeks of 15 grams of collagen supplementation during exercise training reduced acute markers of exercise-induced muscle damage and improved post-exercise regenerative capacity in study subjects. The main inflammatory marker that showed reductions was C-reactive protein.

For many of our clients, we love fish collagen peptides because it contains the most types of collagen. In a recent Nutrients study, fish collagen protein supplementation had antioxidant effects on different tissue cells damaged by oxidative stress. They promoted cellular homeostasis, inhibited inflammation, and protected mitochondria.

However, it is critical that anyone with a positive test to not delay getting a colonoscopy to follow up on an abnormal FIT result. Moreover, if you are at high risk for colon cancer, your physician may want you on a more aggressive colonoscopy schedule.
