DID YOU KNOW that the notion that people get 'hangry' - irritable and short-tempered when they're hungry - is so established that the word has been added to the Oxford English Dictionary? New research in PLOS One has confirmed that the phenomenon does really exist in everyday life. Researchers investigated how hunger affects people's emotions on a day-to-day level. Data showed that higher levels of self-reported hunger were associated with greater feelings of anger and irritability, and with lower levels of pleasure. Hunger was associated with 37% of the variance in irritability, 34% of the variance in anger, and 38% of the variance in pleasure recorded by the participants. While they did not test for it, the authors suggested that low blood sugar could play a large part in the results. So for those who get hangry while Intermittent Fasting, it may not be the right eating style for you.

Limiting Viral Severity Is Critical
Steve: It is becoming evident that many of the lingering, chronic conditions we endure, often called autoimmune disorders, are related to viruses such as SARS-CoV-2 and Epstein Barr (EPV pictured above). Numerous recent studies purport that SARS-CoV2 may lead to Post-Acute Sequelae of SARS CoV-2 infection (PASC or Long COVID). Harvard researchers recently stated that the Epstein-Barr virus may be the trigger for Multiple Sclerosis and other autoimmune disorders. While autoimmune disease only occurs in a small number of individuals who are infected by viruses, these recent discoveries make it that much more critical to adhere to your immune support protocols, which can minimize the severity of viral infections. This puts nutrition and supplementary nutrient support front and center, because without optimal nutrients supporting your immune cells, they will become exhausted, which will lead to overactivity without the means to be shut off, which will lead to your own tissue being attacked by your immune system. This is what causes autoimmune disease. We have multiple individualized solutions to not only prevent this from occurring, but support you if you have an autoimmune disorder.
