Absolutely Gluten-Free Controversy | J&J Vaccine

From eNewsletter 4/14/2021

DID YOU KNOW that Absolutely Gluten Free crackers and flatbread, one of our favorite, long-standing, grain-free snack recommendations, updated its packaging? AGF also added a warning label about acrylamide. Prop 65 in the state of California considers acrylamide a carcinogenic substance, so it must be labeled as such to be sold. Acrylamide is the unfortunate byproduct of baking, grilling, or cooking starch at high heat. In moderation, acrylamide poses no danger. If you are worried about acrylamide, then you should never eat chips, crackers, bread, baked potatoes, grilled vegetables, or any cooked starch for that matter, ever again. But what fun would that be? Stick to the serving size and you're all good.

UPDATE - COVID-19 Vaccine Information We updated this document Tuesday April 13th. IMPORTANT NOTE: Weeks ago, we hope you heeded our advice and eschewed the J&J vaccine when it was granted emergency approval. After the CDC and FDA made a joint statement yesterday pausing the administration of J&J vaccines because of severe adverse effects, we want to reiterate that we do not recommend the J&J vaccine. We support only Pfizer and Moderna.

Virus Prevention And Treatment Vaccines will minimize COVID-19 related mortality and hospitalizations, but SARS-CoV-2 is not going away, as evidenced by its ever-mutating variants. Moreover, SARS-CoV-2 is not the only virus we fight. There are influenza (flu), norovirus (stomach flu), adenovirus (common cold), and four other coronaviruses (common cold), among others. We highly recommend continuing your immune support. For more information, refer to our Prevent and Fight Viruses 2.0 Protocol.

COVID-19 Condition Monograph For those interested in conventional and integrative treatments for COVID-19 with over 250 references, this is our COVID-19 Condition Monograph.

Post-COVID Syndrome The official diagnosis for post-COVID syndrome (PCS) are symptoms that last for 12 weeks or more. If you, a family member, friend, coworker, or neighbor is suffering from PCS, diligently following our Post-COVID Syndrome Action Plan for purchase, or free to paid members, can bring measurable improvement.

COVID-19 UPDATE

Steve and Bonnie: When assessing infection versus vaccine, in one Medrxiv study, researchers found that vaccination differs from infection in the dominance of IgG over IgM and IgA responses, with IgG reaching levels similar to those of severely ill COVID-19 patients.

In another study from Medrxiv, Pfizer vaccine generated a robust humoral immune response, especially involving IgG and IgA, magnified by the second vaccine dose.

A Nature Communications study demonstrates the versatility and potential of memory T cells from COVID-19 infected patients and even their close contacts.

Finally, Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report states vaccines against COVID-19 are about 90 percent effective at blocking coronavirus infections, real-world studies of health care workers, firefighters, police, teachers and other essential workers suggest. Even after just one dose of the mRNA vaccines made by Pfizer and Moderna, the vaccines reduced the chance of getting infected with SARS-CoV-2, you had 80 percent protection from infection.

Of course, if you can’t get infected, you can’t infect anyone else, which means the vaccines can reduce transmission as well as the disease.

Inhalable Vaccine

Scientists from MIT are developing an inhalable COVID-19 vaccine that could be 25 times more effective than one injected into a muscle. That’s because sending the vaccine directly onto mucosal membranes, like those found in the mouth, nose, throat, and lungs, can get immune system cells, or T cells, to “set up shop” ready to attack an infection where it lands.

Ivermectin

Although clinical trial results have been, and continue to be, accumulated showing the antiparasitic ivermectin is effective in the treatment and prevention of COVID-19, the leading experts urge caution, because the amount needed is sometimes nine to ten times higher than regular doses. The study in the Japanese Journal of Antibiotics states the experts cannot reasonably explain its effectiveness as of yet. Certainly, getting Ivermectin from feed stores because it can be purchased without prescription for horses is NOT recommended for human consumption.

Lingering Symptoms

Eight months after mild COVID-19, one in ten people still have at least one moderate to severe symptom that is perceived as having a negative impact on their work, social or home life. The most common long-term symptoms are a loss of smell and taste and fatigue, according to a study in JAMA.

Moderna CEO on COVID Vaccines

Moderna CEO Stéphane Bancel admitted that an annual or semi-annual shot would likely be used to keep COVID-19 at bay, not unlike current practices for other diseases. This comment was echoed by a recent study in Virus Evolution. While this thinking is putting "the cart before the horse," we have been predicting this since the beginning of the pandemic.

Nasty Habits

There is conflicting data about diet quality during lockdown in populations around the world. Two studies in American Journal of Clinical Nutrition suggest those in Quebec showed improvement, the French showed good and bad, yet in the US, 60 percent say they’ve added on several pounds during lockdown.

Oral Vaccine

An Israeli-American pharmaceutical company is preparing to launch a Phase I clinical trial for what could become the world’s first oral COVID-19 vaccine. The new Oravax vaccine candidate targets three structural proteins of the novel coronavirus, which could be much more resistant to COVID-19 variants. Time and cost of production will much cheaper. The advantages of an oral vaccine go beyond safety and efficacy, as oral medications tend to have fewer side effects, can be shipped at refrigerator temperatures, and does not require professional administration.

Test for Multiple Viruses

Clinicians using a new viral screening test can not only diagnose COVID-19 in a matter of minutes with a portable, pocket-sized machine, but can also simultaneously test for other viruses, like influenza, that might be mistaken for the coronavirus. At the same time, they can sequence the virus, providing valuable information on the spread of COVID-19 mutations and variants. The new test, dubbed NIRVANA, was published in the journal Med.
