DID YOU KNOW that a new study from journal Neurology linked higher levels of artificial sweetener use with a faster rate of decline in thinking and memory skills?
For the study, researchers followed 12,772 adults with an average age of 52 for about eight years. They discovered that people who consumed high daily amounts of artificial sweeteners had a 62% faster decline in thinking and memory skills compared to those who had low or no daily amount of artificial sweeteners.
Our new clients often don't even know they're consuming artificial sweeteners. Food manufacturers hide them by listing their scientific names instead of their retail names. For example, sucralose or acelfumame-k potassium is listed instead of Splenda.
One of the myriad reasons you come to see practitioners like us is so we can point out these ingredients to you.
