DID YOU KNOW that a first-of-its-kind study in Nutrients examined the association between vitamin C intake and various types of sleep disorders, including sleep apnea and insomnia in an 85,000+ subject group?


The results indicated that those with the highest vitamin C intake was associated with a significantly reduced risk of sleep disorders and sleep apnea. The protective effect persisted significantly, especially in men and both sexes 60 years and younger.


The authors suggest that sufficient vitamin C intake should be emphasized to prevent sleep disorders.

DID YOU KNOW that vitamin C intake is linked to improved thyroid health?


In a first-of-its-kind study from British Journal of Nutrition, researchers explored the relationship between total vitamin C intake and hypothyroidism in patients with Hashimoto's thyroiditis.


Compared to those with the lowest total vitamin C intake, participants with the highest total intake were at lower odds of having hypothyroidism.

DID YOU KNOW that researchers in a randomized, double-blinded, placebo-controlled study in Journal of Dietary Supplements investigated the effects of collagen peptides on mood status including fatigue, physical condition, and immunological status?


Participants who were healthy but easily fatigued consumed 10 grams collagen peptides daily or placebo food for eight weeks.


Fatigue was significantly lower in the collagen group than in the placebo group and vigor-activity was significantly higher in the collagen group than in the placebo group after eight weeks. Moreover, those consuming collagen peptides exhibited increases in the feeling of sleep restfulness.
