DID YOU KNOW that a study published last week in JAMA Internal Medicine threw an inordinate amount of shade upon cholesterol-lowering statin medications? This journal is as allopathic as they come, so it is a surprise they would so summarily throw statins under the bus. Researchers examined the efficacy of statins in reducing total mortality and cardiovascular outcomes. Reductions in the absolute risk were 0.8% for all-cause mortality, 1.3% for myocardial infarction, and 0.4% for stroke in those randomized to treatment with statins compared with control. The authors were more than kind when they called these benefits "modest". With the litany of side effects that dog patients taking them, it is amazing that physicians continue to cavalierly prescribe statins given their negligible effects.

Virus Prevention And Treatment Vaccines minimize COVID-19 related mortality and hospitalizations, but SARS-CoV-2 is here to stay. Moreover, it is not the only virus we fight. There are influenza (flu), norovirus (stomach flu), adenovirus (common cold), and four other coronaviruses (common cold), among others. Continue your immune support year-round. For more information, refer to our Prevent and Fight Viruses 2.0 Protocol.

Bonnie Opines Over Client Improvements
Every year I like to revisit the improvements I have seen with my clients. Some of best are as follows:
Clients realize that healthy eating is not a short-term fix, but a lifestyle change.
Clients are interested in following an individualized plan rather than a “one-size-fits-all” plan. They also are much more interested in delving into genetic analysis to optimize their food intake, dietary supplements, and fitness goals.
Clients realize that just because a health/nutrition expert from a book or talk show makes specific recommendations, it doesn’t mean that it’s right for them.
Clients want to know what foods cause inflammatory reactions. Our Biotrition Food Intolerance blood test can identify reactions to over 200 foods with a 95-99% accuracy.
Clients want more organic foods that are additive-free.
Clients need to have easily accessible food choices and brands to make compliance easier. Companies have bent over backwards to provide delicious gluten-free, corn-free, and grain-free products that can be found easily in grocery stores.
Clients want healthy food choices that can be eaten in a hurry! We have written several articles about food bowls and salads in our paid newsletter that fall under these parameters.
The origin of Poke (pronounced po-kay) is Hawaiian, which in the past usually involved seafood or meat cut into cubes. Today, many restaurants and food markets are providing Poke-inspired “create a meal your way” in a selection of delicious, easy to eat on the go, healthy bowls.
